What is 9ct Gold Filled gf?
Gold filled is an actual layer of gold-pressure bonded to another metal that produces a brilliant decorative and functional finish. It is not to be confuséd with gold plating as it is much better and long lasting than gold plating. It is much more valuable and tarnish resistant. But please be aware it is not "solid gold", our recommended retail price is an estimate by us, and this can vary between jewellers
Is this real Gold?
No. 9ct Gold Filled gf Coated refers to jewellery made of base metal (commonly brass or copper) heavily coated by sheets of gold bonded to the base by a mechanical process. It is much more valuable, super premium quality and tarnish resistant than spray or gold plated or gold filled. This has 10-20x thicker coating than any regular gold filled jewellery. It does not flake off, rub off or turn colours. It is extremely long lasting and if taken care of will last you a lifetime. It is an economical alternative to solid gold jewellery. These are finely crafted and manufactured in one of the leading chain manufacturers in USA. A small percent of people are allergic to jewellery and therefore if the wearer is allergic to gold or other metal, we advice not to purchase.
